Unlike our seasoned cordwood it just hasn’t waited out our eight-month storage and drying process. If you have planned ahead, green cordwood is a cost effective way to go, running substantially less per cord than our seasoned wood.

It is important to remember that even the fastest drying species take at least six months before burning properly, keeping your home free of smoke and residue. Our guarantee is that we use only the cleanest “logging” wood, which is straight grain, consistently sized and extremely clean. Other sellers might pass off “tree service” wood, which is often too big, too small not nearly as clean nor ideal for cordwood.

A good time to buy green cordwood is at the end of the winter wood burning season so you know it will be ready next year. If you have suitable dry storage to season the wood yourself then the green cordwood discount may be the way for you.
